El Dorado Seaside Suites Akumal
For Christmas last year, we decided to treat ourselves to a All Inclusive Resort, I wanted to go back to Dreams Puerto Adventura, but we decided on a diferant resort, you can read my review on Dreams Puerto Adventurain my blog.
So, we made reservations, and headed over to El Dorado Seaside Suites in Akumal, it only takes around 4.5 hours to drive there from our home in Merida.
Once you arrive to this absolutely Beautiful Resort, your worries, and troubles are forgotten.We arrived to be greeted by a very friendly Bellmen Victor,

he guided us to the desk to check in, and here we met Eduardo and Esmee,
Our check-in was a pleasure,they give us some ice-cold sparking wine, and they were very friendly, they make you fell like home.

Our Bellman Victor took us to our room, and let me tell you, I think one of the best feelings in the world is the moment you check into a High Class Resort like El Dorado Seaside Suite, all your worries are left behind, and you know that your are about to embark on a fantastic vacation, and to know that everything is included.

It was So, nice to swim right outside your Hotel Room
Room Service is one of the better we have seen in a All Inclusive Resort, serving delicious food, drinks, and even Ice Cubes .
We had many choices or Restaurants at the resort.
We started off ordering Room Service since we were tired from the long drive to the Resort, I ordered Mac and Cheese, Fish & Chips, and Chicken Wings, all were very good, and it was delivered in good time.
Being Married to a Mexican, we decided to eat at the Resorts Mexican Restaurant called LA CARRETA AUTHENTIC MEXICAN CUISINE
My wife and I ordered two Steak Tacos to start, they were Delicious, then my wife ordered the the Chicken Mole, she said it was so SPICY that she could barely eat it, and the plate had no presentation at all, I ordered the skirt steak, with yellow rice, however my steak was okay, it was a little tough.
Our Room was spectacular, with a Beautiful Ocean View, and of course we have our very own swimming pool right outside our bedroom door,
We had a very large Hot-Tub Jacuzzi and a nice Hot Shower.
We had the most wonderful night sleep

When we arrived to our room, we realized that it was going to be too noisy
at night with the Pool Bar, below, so we asked them if we can
get a room away from the Pool Bar, and Badda Bing- Badda Boom we were moved to a room that was at the end, nice and quiet.
What a beautiful nights sleep, the mattresses are so comfortable, we slept like babies. The next morning we slept late, had a cool dip in the Pool, outside our bedroom, and then headed to lunch.
We decided to eat at the DRIFTWOOD GOURMET OCEANFRONT RESTAURANT, I had one of the best Ribeye Steaks I have ever had in a All Inclusive Resort.
We also ordered the Grilled Shrimp with a cold Crispy Salad, Spicy Shrimp,Skirt Steak with Sauteed Mushrooms, and of course a Ribeye with 1/2 a Baked Potato.
All the food was delicious, but the best part was the most friendliest waiter we have seen and years, his name is Bernardo, he goes above and beyond to serve you, and he remembers what you like every time you eat at the Driftwood.
*** NOTE *** One of the best features about the restaurants at the Resort is that all the restaurants serve Infusion waters, with many different flavors.

The next day after a Delicious Breakfast in our Room, we had a wonderful swim, and then Dinner at the Italian Restaurant called
MIA CASA CONTEMPORARY ITALIAN, here the food and service was beyond our expectations, with a decor that welcomes you as if you were in Italy.
Again we had a fantastic waiter by the name of Porfirio.
We ordered some appetizers of Cheese Ravioli and Pasta Fazool, the Raviolis were homemade and out of this world.
For my main course, I ordered Chicken Parmigiana, and my wife ordered Pasta and Shrimp, both were very tasty and good.

The only thing we were not happy with the Spa was, that the HUGH Hot-Tube the temperature was not Hot at all, just warm.
We had lunch at SEASIDE MARKET INTERNATIONAL CUISINE
I did not take any photos here, because I forgot my camera, this restaurant is one large Buffet and they had the best quality cold cuts, and since we live in Merida Yucatan, we can't get many of the Delicious meats that they had for us to eat here, like Imported Genoa Salami,Capocollo, Prosciutto,Soppressata, Mortadella
and many kinds of cheeses.

Overall, this has to be one of the finest Vacations we have every had.
The Resort is totally amazing, with the most friendliest staff, to the best Chefs preparing the finest cuisines.
The Resort drives you around in long Golf carts, that pick you up and take you to all the different restaurants and spas, and the Resort went all out decorating for Christmas.
This is where all the other All Inclusive Resort should visit to see how it is done right.
We are looking forward to our next visit to El Dorado Seaside Suite
